Today, we pray for repentance. We pray for the grace to be aware of where our heart is being led at this moment in our lives, and (if it’s not leading toward God) to catch ourselves so we can turn in the right direction. This is grace, because pride can get the better of us.

1. Honestly assess yourself — where am I headed?
2. Resolve to change direction and turn back towards God.

Prayer For Lent
Creighton University Ministries

Loving God,
Sometimes my heart turns in every direction except towards you.
Please help me to turn my heart toward you,
to gaze upon you in trust
and to seek your kingdom with all of my heart.
Soften my hardened heart
so that I might love others as a way to glorify and worship you.
Grant me this with the ever-present guidance of your spirit.
Amen.
