From my selfishness
From my unnecessary fears
From the propensity to protect myself
From my insecurities
From my imagination
From thinking that the life I’m living is not enough
From thinking that the life I’m living is enough
From my discontent
From my angst and anxiety
From my desires
From temptations I put myself into
From temptations that are out of my control
From my love for money and fame and power
From my love for self that keeps me from loving others
From my pain
From my memory of pain
From my fear of pain
From the past that keeps me from a better future.
Lord, protect me from myself.
