There are moments in our lives when we just want to go and hide in our cave. It could be because of that inherent need of introverts to get some energy from self, or it could be because of shame, or trauma. It could also be because some of us feel unloved or un-accepted.

Whatever the reason may be, it is good to pray this prayer. Remember, it is in the cave where God speaks in silent whisper. And it is in a place like a cave where God was born.

Prayer for the Cave Time
Dear Heart Come Home, Joyce Rupp

Guardian of my soul, thank you,
for guiding me in the dark places,
for reaching me through the people of my life,
for drawing near to love me when I feel unlovable,
for teaching me how to tend my wounds,
for guarding me with words of truth
and moments of empowerment,
for allowing my pain and struggle
so that I can come to greater wholeness.
