We are often impatient when things do not go our way. It is difficult not to be in control of situations. We feel out of sorts, in shambles, without integrity. But it is when we are not in control that we are potentially nearest to God. It is when life is not neat and orderly when God can rush through and take over and bring us to places we never thought are possible.
1. In a scale of 1-10, how are you with vulnerability? How do you deal with it? Do you push it away as much as possible or do you welcome it?
2. Push your reflection a little bit more: why do you think this is so? What could be the reason behind that score?

God of the flyblown and the foreign,
give me the strength to surrender to you all my impatience with imperfection,
all my harsh judgments of your world as unworthy,
