If you have articles to share about Society, Spirituality and Intimacy, you are most welcome to send them to me at hello@prayersofapilgrim.com.

Before you send your guest post, please take note of the following:

Original Content

I would expect content coming from you to be your own work. Plagiarism rules apply.

Length

Posts should be somewhere between 500 to 1000 words. I will allow longer (or shorter) articles as long as the writing is good, and the topic justifies it.

Formatting

Copy and paste the formatted guest post as inline text of your email. You can also send it as a .txt or .doc attachment (although I prefer you send it as inline text). I will reformat it in its final form using prayersofapilgrim fonts. If you have footnotes to your post, please specify them in the email.

Bylines and Author Box

Add a credit at the beginning of the post which reads: by xxxx xxxxx. You can link from your name. You may also include a description of the article (i.e. to explain when it was originally written, or if it has been posted in a blog or as a newspaper article). Add a two-five sentence bio at the end of the post, including links to your blog along with a 100x100px photo of you. Check out the About The Author boxes at the end of every post for inspiration.

Images

I prefer to use images from Flickr or GettyImages’ Creative Commons. In your email, include one or two links to suggested photos. If you don’t, I will choose the appropriate photo for your post.

Links:

You may link back to a post on your blog, but only if it is absolutely relevant and critical for the post.

Proofread

Proofread your work please! Please check for spelling and grammatical errors.

Editing

I usually edit articles for spelling and grammar errors (so please proofread so I don’t have to do that anymore!). Please don’t be offended. If I have questions about your stance on issues or your opinions on important and newsworthy topics, I will email you. I have a good feel of my readers, so I want your message to be as clear as possible. I will not edit your work without your permission.

PrayersOfaPilgrim uses this Creative Commons License for all its content unless otherwise noted. If you think your work shouldn’t fall under this category, please include that caveat in your email.

It goes without saying that I will decide whether your article will be posted here or not. But hey, if what you have to say is really important, it will find its way here.
